Hey,” the neighbor called out, “your famous bull looks exhausted.”
The farmer chuckled. “Of course he is! Five farms in one day is hard work.”
Just then, the bull slowly lifted his head, looked at the neighbor, and let out a deep sigh.
The neighbor frowned. “He doesn’t look tired… he looks annoyed.”
Before the farmer could answer, a truck pulled up by the gate. A rancher jumped out waving angrily.
“Your bull’s useless!” the man shouted. “He spent three hours sitting under a tree and wouldn’t even look at my cows!”
The farmer scratched his head in confusion. “That can’t be right…”
Another truck arrived. Then another.
Every rancher had the same complaint.
Finally, the neighbor burst out laughing. “Seems your bull figured something out.”
“What do you mean?”
The neighbor pointed at the field where the bull had already laid his head back down.
“He realized you’re the one getting paid—not him.”
