The priest arrived first, his arm in a sling and scratches across his face.
โI found the bear by the river,โ he said proudly. โI read passages from the Bible, sprinkled holy water on him, and after a long discussionโฆ the bear accepted the faith.โ
Next came the minister, walking with a limp and covered in bandages.
โIt was difficult,โ he admitted. โThe bear chased me up a tree twice. But eventually, I sang hymns, shared my testimony, and baptized him in the lake.โ
Finally, they heard a groan from outside. The rabbi was wheeled in on a hospital bed, wrapped head to toe in casts.
The priest and minister rushed over.
โWhat happened?!โ they cried.
The rabbi sighed painfully and said,
โIn hindsightโฆ maybe I shouldnโt have started with circumcision.โย
