The class turned toward Little Johnny, already expecting something unusual.
He stood up confidently and said, “Refrigerator.”
The room went silent for a second… then a few kids started giggling.
The teacher raised an eyebrow. “Johnny, that does end with ‘tor,’ but how exactly does a refrigerator eat things?”
Johnny grinned. “It doesn’t eat, ma’am… but it sure devours everything my dad brings home!”
The class burst into laughter.
The teacher tried to keep a straight face, but even she couldn’t hold it. “Well, Johnny,” she said, shaking her head, “that’s… creative.”
Johnny sat down proudly, whispering to his friend, “Told you I’d get her with that one.”
From that day on, whenever the class had a word game, everyone waited just a little more eagerly to hear what Johnny would say next.
